We woke up nice and early and started packing. I said a fond goodbye to the horrific toilet and the ant hills. We told the receptionists that we were leaving to another hotel and asked for a taxi.
We arrived at Kata Beach Studio and it was absolutely stunning. As you walked in, there was a restaurant and a really friendly receptionist. From there she showed us to the stairs and the lift and all the corridors were so modern. The room was stunning with a working shower… that had hot water!!! Large mirrors, fridge, big comfy bed, window seat… The balcony and windows around the room had such great scenery, we could even see the Big Buddha from there!!!
We went downstairs for some lunch after unpacking and found out they did pizza!!! My first proper meal in five days!!! The woman said we could eat it up by the rooftop pool, she took us there and it was absolutely gorgeous. There were a few sunbeds and a pool that overlooked the hills and beaches. There was a patio with a bar and we could put our phones into the speaker. We ate our food and played music and chilled out there for most of the day. The pool even had jacuzzi bubbles!!!!
We then decided to walk to Kata Beach, it was a lot livelier here than our old hotel. There were bars, restaurants, shops and delicious juice bars. We paid for some deckchairs on the beach and went in the sea. There was a small stream with long boats on the other side of the beach and it lead us to a road. We walked down the road and we found a small stall that sold fried ice cream. I chose to have chocolate brownie flavour with caramel sauce and it was so good. We walked back to the hotel past all the market stalls and shops. When we got back to the hotel, we went back to the pool. It was heaven watching the sunset, pool to ourselves and the cheap cocktails.
We showered and got changed and went out for a meal for tea. It was out first proper meal out that wasn’t at the hotel so was quite nice! We had a few drinks there and decided to head down to some of the beach bars. We found a Surf House with cheap drinks and you could watch people on the surf machine. We chilled out there whilst someone set off fireworks on the beach. We then walked to the main square and got a tuktuk back to the hotel.
