Mental Health Awareness Day

So three years ago I was ‘diagnosed’ as such with anxiety. I have suffered with it for years and all through primary, secondary school and college I assumed I was just being silly… After being approached at University, I braved it to speak to someone…

Today I have never felt braver. I can travel (most days) on public transport without fret, I can eat at meal tables, I can speak to a large group of people, I can dance in the middle of the dance floor! Yes, I have my off days and some days I feel like I’m starting all over again, but I remember that I can do it and will do it. The best thing I ever did was speak about it.

Mental Health is just as important as physical health, just because you don’t see anything, doesn’t mean you can dismiss it.
